NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly has reached a significant milestone in the development of a new medical testing centre at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital. Thirteen modular units have been delivered
and connected, marking a key step towards the facility's opening later this year. The centre aims to provide a range of diagnostic services including X-rays, MRI and CT scans, blood tests, ECGs, respiratory checks, and endoscopy services. Susan Bracefield, chief nursing officer of NHS Cornwall, emphasized the importance of delivering services closer to home, which is highly valued by local residents. Geoff Searle, chief executive of InHealth, highlighted the benefits of expanding healthcare models in the South West, promising improved health outcomes through enhanced access, capacity, and choice.
