What's Happening?
Patriot Critical Minerals has announced the completion and filing of a Technical Report Summary under U.S. SEC Regulation S-K 1300 for its MEGA Tungsten Project in Elko County, Nevada. This filing confirms
that Patriot controls the largest tungsten resource ever reported under modern U.S. SEC standards. The report, prepared by SRK Consulting, defines an Inferred Mineral Resource of 21.8 million short tons grading 0.18% WO3, containing approximately 78.7 million pounds of tungsten trioxide. This positions Patriot's MEGA Project as a leader in the resurgence of American tungsten production, a critical mineral for defense, aerospace, semiconductors, and clean-energy technologies.
Why It's Important?
The confirmation of the largest tungsten resource in the U.S. is significant for national security and industrial independence. With over 85% of U.S. tungsten currently imported, Patriot's Nevada asset offers a pathway to reshoring this vital metal. Tungsten is designated as a critical mineral under the Defense Production Act, highlighting its importance in defense and technology sectors. The development of the MEGA Project could reduce reliance on foreign sources, bolster domestic production capabilities, and support the U.S. economy by creating jobs and fostering technological advancements.
What's Next?
Patriot Critical Minerals is advancing toward pre-feasibility and production stages for the MEGA Project. This involves engineering, permitting, and engagement with federal programs. The company emphasizes the need for government action to match market urgency, ensuring that large-scale U.S.-based projects can compete globally. The project's shallow geometry supports rapid, low-cost advancement, and its location in Nevada offers road access, grid power, and an experienced workforce, facilitating its development.
