What's Happening?
The Jewish Social Justice Roundtable (JSJR) has initiated a pilot program aimed at transforming workplace conflict management within the Jewish nonprofit sector. This initiative, supported by the Righteous Persons Foundation, was launched in response to the challenges faced by organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic, including burnout and reevaluation of work relationships. The program focuses on equipping staff from over 50 nonprofit organizations with skills to manage conflicts constructively. Through training sessions informed by interpersonal dialogue research and best practices in organizational culture, JSJR aims to reshape organizational dynamics by fostering a culture of inclusion, equity, and belonging. The program emphasizes the importance of viewing conflict as a skill that can be learned and managed effectively, rather than avoided.
