Donald J. Krahling, a resident of Rochester, NY, passed away on May 9, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in Buffalo, NY, Krahling spent much of his life in Rochester, where he was known for his service in the U.S. Marine Corps and the New York National Guard.
He was also deeply involved in mentoring youth through Boy Scout Troops 70 and 62. Krahling was a passionate tinkerer with a love for restoring mechanical devices and a deep appreciation for American history. His family, including his children and grandchildren, remember him for his vast knowledge and storytelling ability. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for May 30 at the American Legion Post #64 in Buffalo, with interment at Irondequoit Cemetery to follow at a later date.
