how to claim these refunds, and just 13% have actually done so. The process for claiming VAT refunds involves obtaining a tax-free form at the time of purchase and presenting it with the receipt, passport, and boarding pass at designated kiosks upon departure from the EU. Refund rates and minimum spend requirements vary by country, with Spain offering a 21% refund for a minimum spend of €90.15, while Greece has a lower threshold of €50 for a 24% refund.
