What's Happening?
Hai Robotics has announced that its HaiPick Systems have achieved compliance with the EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED) Articles 3.3(d), marking an important milestone in strengthening cybersecurity standards
for connected warehouse automation systems. The certification, verified by TÜV SÜD, formally validates that Hai Robotics’ autonomous storage and retrieval solutions meet European regulatory requirements for wireless connectivity and data security. In an increasingly connected logistics environment, the company emphasizes that cybersecurity is fundamental to ensuring safe and reliable warehouse operations. Hai Robotics’ HaiPick Systems have long followed strict cybersecurity practices for industrial equipment, and the TÜV SÜD evaluation now formally recognizes that commitment.
Why It's Important?
The RED certification provides key assurances in three areas: reliable connectivity, cybersecurity reinforcement, and operational reliability. These measures are crucial for protecting wireless communications from interference, enhancing network protection, and contributing to the overall integrity and safety of automated warehouse systems. Beyond RED compliance, Hai Robotics has developed a comprehensive cybersecurity framework for its automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS), built in accordance with ISO 27001 standards for information security management and holding TISAX certification. This layered approach helps customers maintain data integrity, operational resilience, and long-term reliability, reflecting Hai Robotics' ongoing commitment to cyber-resilient automation and high levels of product security in warehouse environments.
What's Next?
Hai Robotics continues to expand its global presence, with more than 1,700 projects implemented across 40+ countries, supported by eight international offices and over 60 global partners. The company is poised to further enhance its cybersecurity measures and collaborate with global consultants to implement standards, ensure regional compliance, and respond swiftly to security incidents. This proactive stance is expected to bolster its reputation in the industry and attract more clients seeking secure and efficient warehouse automation solutions.
Beyond the Headlines
The achievement of EU cybersecurity compliance by Hai Robotics highlights the growing importance of cybersecurity in the logistics and automation sectors. As warehouse systems become increasingly interconnected, the need for robust cybersecurity measures becomes paramount to protect sensitive data and ensure operational continuity. This development may prompt other companies in the industry to prioritize cybersecurity and seek similar certifications to remain competitive and trustworthy in the global market.
