Indian-origin NASA astronaut Anil Menon has embarked on his first mission to the International Space Station (ISS) aboard Russia's Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft. The launch took place from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, with Menon accompanied by Roscosmos
cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. The spacecraft successfully reached orbit and docked with the ISS's Prichal module after a three-hour journey. Menon and his crew will spend approximately eight months aboard the ISS, focusing on scientific research and technology demonstrations before returning to Earth in April 2027.
