Jones Day announced that Pittsburgh partner Margaret C. (Meg) Gleason has been appointed as a United States Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Gleason will assume her new role on November 9, 2026,
filling the vacancy left by the upcoming retirement of Judge Maureen P. Kelly. Gleason has been with Jones Day in Pittsburgh for over 19 years, where she developed a complex civil litigation practice. Her experience includes serving as trial counsel in federal and state courts and in arbitration for high-stakes cases involving breach of contract, business torts, trade secrets, securities litigation, and class actions. Notably, she was part of a trial team that secured a $125.7 million verdict in a post-closing adjustment dispute.
