What's Happening?
The Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry announced that the fourth round of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods has attracted 13 applications with a net committed investment of Rs
1,914 crore. The scheme, aimed at boosting the manufacturing of air conditioners and LED lights, has seen significant participation from Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The investments are expected to enhance the domestic manufacturing ecosystem and generate substantial employment.
