was a proud alumnus of Loyola Academy and St. Joseph’s College. He served in the Illinois Army National Guard before embarking on a successful career in commercial real estate and later in the telecom industry. At AT&T, he rose through the ranks to become a successful executive, known for his mentorship and leadership. McLaughlin was deeply involved in his community, particularly through his church, Sacred Heart Parish in Winnetka, and various charitable endeavors. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Ro, their four children, and numerous grandchildren.
