The Paxton-Buckley-Loda (PBL) varsity girls basketball team is gearing up for their season opener against Herscher on Wednesday. Under the leadership of head coach Jeff Sinn, now in his fourth season,
the team is focusing on leveraging the experience of its senior players, Olivia Rehg and Anna Hudson, alongside a strong junior class. The team aims to improve upon last year's record of 4-27 overall and 2-7 in the Illini Prairie Conference. Coach Sinn has opted out of the Bunnie Tip-Off Classic to allow for more practice time and exposure to unfamiliar opponents, hoping to build a more competitive team. The Panthers will also participate in the Calvary Christian Academy Thanksgiving Tournament and the Heyworth Tournament, seeking to avoid early season pitfalls and boost confidence.
