A 55-year-old Sam's Club employee in Nashville died after being fatally wounded by a bullet that penetrated a side metal wall of the store. The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on Sunday morning at the Sam's Club located at 1300 Antioch Pike. The employee,
who was working in the chip aisle in the middle of the store, was found with a gunshot wound. Metro Nashville Police Department officers were called to the scene. The man was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation into the death.
