What's Happening?
Teinnovations, a food packaging company, has donated $360,000 worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) to the city of Aurora. This donation includes medical masks and gloves, which will be utilized
by Aurora's winter warming shelter and emergency response efforts. Some of the PPE will also be distributed to local nonprofits. The donation comes at a critical time during flu season, as people will be living together at the city's new warming center. Aurora's Emergency Management Agency will retain much of the stock to enhance its response capabilities in case of another pandemic. Teinnovations, although not a manufacturer of PPE, had the stock available due to its efforts in supplying hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
