education across Africa. Under her leadership, Merck Foundation has provided 2,500 scholarships for healthcare providers from 52 countries. Dr. Kelej has also initiated several community awareness programs addressing social and health issues, and works closely with African and Asian First Ladies to promote the 'More Than a Mother' campaign.
