OPES Solar Mobility has inaugurated Europe's first production facility for flexible solar panels designed for vehicle integration in Zwenkau, Germany. The 12,000 square meter factory will create 120 jobs
and produce solar panels for commercial and recreational vehicles. These panels supply power to electrical systems in both diesel and electric vehicles, extending driving range and increasing battery lifespan. The company plans to deliver modules to over 15 partners across Europe, Africa, and South America for integration into various vehicles, including camper vans and city buses. The solar modules employ a matrix architecture that reduces energy losses caused by shading.
