The bill proposes the establishment of a K-12 Cybersecurity Technology Improvement Program to bolster schools' defenses against cyberattacks. It also includes the creation of a Cybersecurity Incident Registry to track cyber incidents and a Cybersecurity Information Exchange to share best practices and resources. The initiative responds to findings from the Center for Internet Security, which reported that 82% of K-12 organizations experienced cyber threats between July 2023 and December 2024.
