What's Happening?
Japan's Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) mission is set to launch later this year, aiming to collect samples from Mars' moon Phobos. The spacecraft has arrived at the Tanegashima spaceport, with a launch window scheduled for November or December. This
mission, led by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), was initially planned for 2024 but faced delays due to issues with the H3 rocket. The mission will use Japan's flagship H3 rocket, which had previously experienced a payload fairing separation anomaly.
