What's Happening?
StoryCorps and NPR's Morning Edition have partnered to launch Connect250, a project aimed at commemorating America's 250th birthday by creating a time capsule of American voices and stories. Starting June 17, Americans can pre-register at connect250.org
to participate in virtual interviews with strangers, discussing their lives and experiences. These 40-minute conversations will be archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, contributing to a snapshot of American life at this historic moment. Participants will be matched across different regions to encourage diverse interactions, and they can choose to make their interviews public or keep them private.
