Susan Sommerville Rupp, a beloved community member and active participant in various charitable activities, passed away at the age of 77. Born in Rochester, NY, she dedicated her life to service, beginning her career as a social worker for Child Protective
Services. Rupp was deeply involved in her community, contributing to fundraising efforts, disaster relief, and aiding in the resettlement of Afghan families. She was also a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and the Inayatiyya order of universal Sufism, where she held leadership roles. Her interests included gardening, cooking, and wellness, and she was known for creating healing spaces. Rupp is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, and other family members. A celebration of her life is scheduled for March 7th.
