Students from Elk Grove High School's Future Farmers of America (FFA) program are gearing up for the Sacramento County Fair with their annual Pre-Fair Animal Show. The event, held at the school's campus farm, features over 80 hogs, 20 sheep, 20 goats,
laying hens, turkeys, breeding rabbits, and steers, all owned by the students. This initiative provides a practical learning experience, allowing students to hone their animal handling skills and gain insights into the livestock industry. The Pre-Fair serves as a preparatory platform for students, equipping them with the necessary skills for college and future careers in agriculture.
