Türkiye has emerged as a leading global producer in agriculture, ranking among the top three producers for 22 different agricultural products. According to data from the Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Ministry, Türkiye is the world's largest producer of
hazelnuts, figs, apricots, poppy seeds, cherries, quinces, and carobs. The country boasts nearly 150,000 square miles of fertile agricultural land, allowing it to produce a wide variety of crops. Türkiye's dominance in apricot production is particularly notable, with the country producing 750,000 tons annually, far surpassing other major producers like Uzbekistan and Iran.
