Meta has launched the sixth annual edition of its Holocaust remembrance project, Sharing Memories, on Yom Hashoah. This initiative, in partnership with the non-profit organization Our 6 Million, aims to connect younger generations with the testimonies
of Holocaust survivors. This year's project, themed 'A Vanishing Generation,' will be conducted entirely on social media due to heightened security risks in the Middle East. The project was presented at an event at the Office of the President in Israel, attended by President Isaac Herzog and First Lady Michal Herzog, alongside content creators and representatives of survivors' families. The initiative seeks to preserve the stories of Holocaust survivors as their numbers continue to decline, with approximately 12,000 survivors passing away in Israel in 2025.
