The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has released a new Comprehensive Climate Action Plan outlining strategies to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The report indicates that while Illinois has reduced its carbon footprint
by 32% since 2005, current policies alone are insufficient to meet the 2050 goal.
