What's Happening?
The World Food Programme (WFP) is expanding its role in Armenia, transitioning from a direct implementer to a technical advisor and enabler of nationally led systems. This shift is part of WFP's broader strategy to address food security and nutrition
challenges in the country. Despite recent economic growth and improvements in food security, a significant portion of the Armenian population remains vulnerable. WFP aims to leverage its expertise to support the government and other stakeholders in enhancing food security and resilience against future shocks, including climate change.
