Mary Louise Courson, a lifelong resident of Augusta, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of Jim Courson for 66 years. Known for her calm spirit and loyalty, Mrs. Courson was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond
County and a devoted member of Abilene Baptist Church. She served as the secretary of her Sunday school class and was known for her generosity and deep faith. Mrs. Courson is survived by her husband, daughters Kim Courson Odum and Tara Courson McLendon, granddaughter Adaire Courson Hill, and other family members. A graveside service is scheduled for November 17, 2025, at Westover Memorial Park.
