India's artificial intelligence (AI) workforce is projected to double by 2027, driven by new job opportunities in data science, analytics, and data management. The Indian government is actively supporting
this growth through initiatives aimed at startups, students, and youth, focusing on AI in manufacturing, education, governance, and social development. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has launched the FutureSkills PRIME program to reskill and upskill IT professionals in advanced technologies, with over 18.5 lakh candidates registered and more than 3.3 lakh having completed their courses. The National Career Service portal further supports career opportunities in this sector.
