What's Happening?
The 2026 Defender Service Awards, presented by CHASE, are underway, inviting the public to vote for their favorite nonprofit organizations. This annual event, now in its sixth year, recognizes nonprofits across the United States and Canada that excel
in community service, including search and rescue, emergency food delivery, and wildlife rehabilitation. Winners in each of the six categories will receive a customized Defender 130 SUV and $30,000 in prize money. The awards aim to support these organizations in their mission-driven work, providing them with resources to enhance their services.
Why It's Important?
The Defender Service Awards highlight the critical role that nonprofits play in supporting communities, especially in times of need. By providing financial and logistical support, the awards enable these organizations to expand their reach and improve their operations. This initiative not only acknowledges the hard work of these nonprofits but also encourages public engagement and support for community-focused efforts. The awards serve as a reminder of the importance of collaboration between corporate entities and nonprofit organizations in addressing societal challenges.
What's Next?
Voting for the 2026 Defender Service Awards is open until August 14, 2026. The winners will be announced at the Destination Defender event in Temecula, California, on the weekend of September 11. This event will celebrate the achievements of the winning nonprofits and provide them with the resources to continue their impactful work. The ongoing support from sponsors and the public is expected to further strengthen the capacity of these organizations to serve their communities.
