The Africa Hall in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, has been awarded the 2026 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize for its extensive conservation efforts. The award was given to the Australia-based architecture firm Architectus, which led the decade-long,
$57 million renovation project. Africa Hall, designed by Italian architect Arturo Mezzedimi and completed in 1961, serves as the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.
