Peregrine Energy Solutions, in partnership with Wärtsilä and WHC Energy Services, has announced the construction of a 500-MWh energy storage project near Dallas, Texas. The Mallard Energy Storage installation is part of Peregrine's strategy to enhance
grid infrastructure across the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) system. Additionally, GridStor has executed a tolling agreement for the 150-MW/300-MWh Gunnar Reliability Project in Hidalgo County, Texas. These projects are part of a broader effort to increase energy storage capacity in Texas, which is second only to California in battery storage deployment.
