James Robert Rutledge, a long-time resident of Pickford, Michigan, passed away at the age of 96. Born on April 14, 1930, Rutledge was a respected member of the community, known for his contributions to local education and his active participation in various
clubs. He taught Building Trades at the Sault Area Skill Center until his retirement in 1989. Rutledge was also a member of the Pickford United Methodist Church and the Suzie Q's Square Dance Club. He enjoyed outdoor activities and was known for his adventurous spirit, having completed a canoeing and backpacking trip through Isle Royale National Park at the age of 72.
