and MacMurray College, later marrying Richard Trout in 1965. Mary spent 25 years teaching elementary school in various Illinois communities, where she was a beloved mentor to many children. Her volunteer work included roles at the Brookfield Zoo Gift Store, St. Cletus youth newsletter, and St. Francis Catholic Church. Known for her quilting skills and love of reading, Mary was also a recipient of the Golden Apple Award for her contributions to education.
