What's Happening?
NASA has inaugurated its first major new wind tunnel in over 40 years at the Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. The Flight Dynamics Research Facility, developed in partnership with the U.S. General Services Administration, replaces two older
facilities and is part of NASA's initiative to modernize infrastructure and reduce maintenance costs. This state-of-the-art facility will support testing for future space missions, including exploration of Venus, Titan, and Mars, as well as Earth-returning spacecraft.
