What's Happening?
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is organizing three events over the next three weeks for Arizona residents to adopt wild burros. These events will take place at the Florence Wild Horse and Burro Training and Off-Range Corral on July 31, August 7,
and August 14. Interested individuals can apply online or on-site to adopt a burro, with requirements including being at least 18 years old, having approved facilities, and proper transportation. Untrained burros will be available for $125, while trained burros, prepared by inmates from the Arizona Department of Corrections, will be auctioned starting at $500.
