Converge ICT Solutions and Grid Telecom have announced plans to activate new subsea cable systems to boost connectivity in the Asia-Pacific region. Converge will activate the Bifrost Cable System and the Southeast Asia Hainan-Hong Kong Express Cable System by
December, linking the Philippines to various regional connection points. The Bifrost system spans 20,000km with a capacity of up to 15 Tbps, while the SEA H2X system offers 160 Tbps capacity over 5,000km. Grid Telecom is expanding its network from Crete, Greece, aiming to transform the island into a digital hub connecting Europe, Africa, and Asia.
