What's Happening?
Houston Public Media's TV 8, the nation's first educational television station, is expanding its diverse programming offerings across multiple broadcast channels. Channel 8.3 is dedicated to PBS Kids, providing curriculum-based entertainment aimed at fostering
knowledge, critical thinking, imagination, and curiosity in children. Channel 8.4 broadcasts NHK World Japan, offering primarily English-language programming with news and information on Japan and Asia to a global audience 24 hours a day. Channel 8.5 features Sight Into Sound, a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of individuals with visual, physical, and learning disabilities by converting sight into sound. Additionally, Channel 8.6 broadcasts ALL ARTS, an Emmy-winning arts and culture hub created by The WNET Group. These channels complement the primary KUHT HD channel (8.1), which features favorite PBS programs, and KUHT2 (8.2), which carries PBS CREATE.
