Michael J. Gleason, a respected figure in Country Club Hills, Illinois, has passed away at the age of 79. Gleason, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, was known for his long-standing service to the community, including roles as an Alderman and Treasurer. He
was a graduate of St. Sabina, Leo High School, and St. Joseph College, and worked for the Archdiocese of Chicago for 24 years. Gleason is survived by his wife Margaret, their children, and grandchildren. A visitation is scheduled for May 4, 2026, at Curley Funeral Home, followed by a funeral mass on May 5, 2026, at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the Divine Word Missionaries.
