Maharashtra Agriculture Minister Dattatray Bharne has assured the Legislative Council that all eligible farmers in the state will benefit from the agricultural schemes implemented by the government. Responding
to a query from Member Ranjitsinh Mohite Patil about pending funds and subsidies, Bharne emphasized the government's commitment to supporting farmers, especially during crises. He announced the allocation of significant funds for various schemes for the financial year 2025-2026, including Rs 82.67 crore for the Centrally sponsored sub Mission on agricultural mechanisation and Rs 251.41 crore under the Prime Minister's National Agricultural Development scheme. Additionally, a supplementary demand of Rs 127.71 crore has been sought for the Bhausaheb Fundkar Fruit Orchard Planting Scheme. The minister also addressed financial irregularities at Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, stating that an inquiry committee has been formed to investigate the matter.
