What's Happening?
Ukraine has imposed new sanctions targeting 225 captains of vessels involved in transporting Russian oil products, circumventing restrictions from the European Union and other countries. The sanctions also affect 44 Russian companies linked to the military-industrial
complex. These measures, signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, aim to disrupt the supply and production of military equipment, including electronic warfare systems and components for missiles and drones. The sanctions list includes individuals from 11 countries, with a focus on those operating in Russia's shadow fleet. Ukrainian authorities are coordinating with international partners to expand these restrictions.
