Vedanta Zinc International, in collaboration with the Northern Cape Provincial Government, has inaugurated the JF 'Boeboe' van Wyk Oncology Centre in the Namakwa District. This facility aims to provide accessible cancer treatment to local communities,
reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for care. The centre, located at Dr Van Niekerk District Hospital in Springbok, features 10 chemotherapy stations and plans for future radiotherapy expansion. This initiative is part of Vedanta's Social and Labour Plan, reflecting a strong public-private partnership to enhance healthcare access in the region.
