The Ministry of Defence has confirmed progress on hypersonic systems and the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), while exploring participation in international sixth-generation fighter programs. The committee recommended a dedicated budget for 'critical and latest technologies' to prioritize projects like hypersonic missiles and advanced combat aircraft. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is already working on these next-generation systems.
