They are survived by their children Joe Marchert, Suzette Brzezinski, and Jeff Marchert, and grandchildren Tim, Tom, Lauryn, Joey, Erin, Grace, Austin, and Brielle. Joe was able to meet his great-grandchildren Ayla, Noah, Evelyn, and Matthew. A celebration of their lives will be held on October 16, 2025, at Overman-Jones Funeral Home in Plainfield, IL, followed by a funeral service on October 17, 2025, at Plainfield United Methodist Church. They will be buried together at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
