The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) is organizing its second Illinois grain tour of 2025, aimed at attracting international buyers from six Middle Eastern and Asian countries, including China, Vietnam, Egypt, Jordan, Singapore, and Mauritius. The four-day event, running from September 29 to October 2, seeks to foster relationships that could enhance export sales of Illinois agricultural products. Governor JB Pritzker highlighted the impact of federal tariff policies on the state's $26.4 billion agriculture industry, emphasizing the importance of such tours in mitigating economic disruptions. The tour will include visits to key agricultural sites and companies, such as Melvin Price Locks & Dam, Perten Instruments, RTS Farm, Clarkson Grain, GSI, Illinois Soybean Association, Marquis Energy, Delong Co., and the Chicago Board of Trade.
