Turkey reached a new peak in tourism in 2025, welcoming approximately 63.9 million visitors and generating $65.2 billion in tourism revenue. This performance exceeded previous records and official expectations,
marking a strong rebound for the country. The Turkish Statistical Institute and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism reported a 2.7 percent increase in total visitor numbers compared to 2024. Of the total visitors, 11.1 million were Turkish citizens living abroad, contributing significantly to the revenue. Foreign tourist arrivals numbered around 52.78 million, a slight increase that helped achieve this historic high. The tourism revenue climbed by 6.8 percent, surpassing government targets and demonstrating the sector's resilience despite global challenges.
