Catherine C. Preston, a dedicated educator and community volunteer, passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on December 25, 2025. She is survived by her husband, Peter J. Preston, and her family, including
three daughters and four grandsons. Catherine devoted over 40 years to education, primarily as a classroom teacher and reading specialist at Canandaigua Primary School. Her passion for helping children extended beyond the classroom through her volunteer work with organizations like the Salvation Army and Budding Readers. Catherine was also an avid reader and gardener, with a deep love for spending time at Lake Ontario.
