What's Happening?
The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens is set to host the 'Winter Dreams II' light festival, an immersive experience that has previously been successful in European cities like Berlin and Paris. Starting at 5:00 p.m. daily, visitors will enjoy a 1.5-kilometer
journey through illuminated pathways and interactive installations. The event, produced by DEAG Deutsche Entertainment, will feature approximately 2 million LED lights, a specially composed soundtrack, and over 30 light installations. Highlights include a laser show, a 'Thousand Meters of Light' display, and a magical forest with illuminated animal sculptures. The festival also offers a UV-themed disco zone, an art market, and a culinary fair with a glowing menu by celebrity chef Moshik Roth.
Why It's Important?
The festival represents a significant cultural event that enhances Jerusalem's appeal as a tourist destination during Hanukkah. By hosting such a large-scale event, the city can attract both local and international visitors, boosting the local economy and promoting cultural exchange. The involvement of a major production company like DEAG Deutsche Entertainment highlights the potential for future collaborations and events that can further elevate the city's cultural offerings. Additionally, the festival's focus on art and culinary experiences reflects a growing trend of integrating diverse cultural elements to create unique visitor experiences.
