What's Happening?
The NFL annually nominates high school coaches for the Don Shula NFL Coach of the Year Award, named after the legendary coach Don Shula. Each of the 32 NFL clubs selects a coach who exemplifies values
such as character, integrity, leadership, dedication to the community, commitment to player health and safety, and on-field success. Two winners, one from each conference, will be announced prior to the Pro Bowl Games. These winners will receive VIP access to the Pro Bowl Games, attend Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, and be recognized at NFL Honors. Additionally, the NFL Foundation and Nike will award $15,000 to the winners' high school football programs and a $10,000 cash prize. The remaining nominees will receive a $1,000 cash award.
