Frank J. Sommer, a 90-year-old resident of Naperville, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Sommer had lived in Naperville since 1973. He was married to
Luann Sommer for 64 years, and together they raised three sons. Sommer served in the United States Army and had a long career with General Motors and the U.S. Postal Service. A rail enthusiast, he enjoyed visiting train museums and spending winters in Tucson, Arizona. A memorial visitation is scheduled for November 16 at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, with additional services on November 17 at St. Margaret Mary Church.
