What's Happening?
The LV= KidZone initiative, operated by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, successfully reunited approximately 130 individuals who became lost at the seaside over the summer. Running from July 1 to September 1, the scheme provided wristbands with contact details to 36,000 children and vulnerable people, facilitating quick reunions. Councillor Richard Herrett highlighted the scheme's role in ensuring beach safety and providing peace of mind to visitors. Despite the initiative's conclusion, RNLI lifeguards will continue to offer advice and first aid on local beaches until September 28.
