What's Happening?
The Edo State government, under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo, has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing agriculture as a means of wealth creation, food security, and youth empowerment. During a ceremony in Benin City, the government launched
the disbursement of working capital and presented certificates to 637 beneficiaries of the Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises in the Niger Delta (LIFE-ND) project. This initiative is part of the state's broader agenda to tackle unemployment, poverty, and food insecurity through sustainable agricultural development. The project has successfully trained 616 individuals across various agricultural value chains, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive as agripreneurs.
