quarries saw a 6.1 percent reduction in loadings, totaling 2.6 million tons, while Canadian quarries reported a 6.8 percent increase, reaching 626,805 tons. Year-to-date, the trade stands at 22.8 million tons, a 5.6 percent decrease from the previous year. The decline is attributed to reduced loadings from Michigan and Ohio quarries, which decreased by 4.5 percent, and a 10 percent decrease in shipments from Ontario quarries.
